SELF-SCREENING FOR DEPRESSION…
Self-screening
for depression is a simple checklist which asks you a
series of questions about the symptoms of major
depressive disorder and other problems that often go along with depression.
Essentially,
Ø This
self-screening is based on questions that doctors
often ask when their patients think they have a problem with
clinical depression.
Ø This
self-assessment can help indicate if you might have clinical
depression and will help you assess and document your
own feelings and behaviour and will provide you with a
fairly good picture of your emotional state.
Ø While,
it’s normal to feel some of the symptoms from
time to time, but experiencing several or more for more
than two or three weeks may indicate the presence of depression or another
depressive illness.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ø If
you think you might be suffering from clinical depression, take this simple
test.
Ø
Be as objective
and thorough as possible.
Ø All
of the questions have "yes" or "no" answers. Answer "yes" or "no" to the
following questions.
